Because there were so many people that expressed interest initially, I’m going to try something new and split you into two groups this Summer. I will break down both groups below and ask you to choose one:
Learning
The learning group will be focused on getting up to speed with the technologies and getting comfortable with the tools that we use in projects. This will make it much easier to join the rest of the team during the Fall. Throughout the Summer, I’ll be curating documentation and resources to learn all of the technologies that ACM uses. Depending on how much capacity I have, I will try to set up virtual meetings (maybe something like office hours) for this group to help out in any way I can with the learning process.
Developer
People on the developer team are expected to be able to start picking up dev tasks within a few weeks of whenever you join the team. However, you do not need to know the specifics of each project as I’ll be going over those in our first few meetings. We will meet virtually once a week this Summer. First, we’ll start with introductions to the team and a deep dive into each project (This can be a lot if you’re new to most of the tools we use). After that, most meetings will follow a more typically standup where we will share updates on tasks and assign new tasks as needed.
